Our history began long before the modern performance turbo market
BigBoost Turbo was built on decades of hands-on experience developing, manufacturing and refining turbocharger systems. Our foundation comes from real production capability, not simply assembling parts sourced from different suppliers.

Our casting experience allows us to select appropriate alloys, control production standards and create cast manifolds designed to resist the cracking and leaking commonly found in lower-quality alternatives.

Our journey
From OEM conversions to modern BMW performance
The foundation
Juan Sr. entered the turbocharger industry by founding a company dedicated to manufacturing complete turbo conversion kits. These systems became popular during the early adoption of turbocharging, when manufacturers were looking for proven ways to offer turbocharged versions of existing vehicles.
Manufacturer-certified systems
Turbo conversion systems developed by the company were adopted for applications involving Toyota, Mitsubishi and Kia. These kits were offered through official channels as manufacturer-certified OEM options, establishing a standard of engineering, durability and repeatable production that remains part of our approach today.
Manufacturing infrastructure
The manufacturing infrastructure used to produce those systems was acquired by our parent company. Today, the operation develops its own casting patterns and operates its own foundry in South America, giving us direct control over materials, tooling and production quality.
BigBoost Turbo is founded
Juan Sr. founded BigBoost Turbo in the United States as an importer of Brazilian Master Power turbochargers. The company combined established turbocharger experience with direct access to manufacturing and began building its presence in the American performance market.
A new generation enters
Juan Jr. joined the business and recognized an emerging opportunity in late-model BMW performance. BigBoost entered the N55 market, developing the products, knowledge and customer relationships that would create the foundation of the modern BigBoost Turbo brand.
Built for the next level
As the B58 and S58 platforms grew and customers began demanding higher power levels, we expanded our in-house capabilities with dedicated fabrication for top-mount manifolds and complete turbo systems. This allowed us to reach a wider performance market while staying focused on accessible, competition-ready products.
